We spent a day wandering the canton around Ways Mills to see whether the family farm still had our name on the mailbox. We were less optimistic that we could find the ancestral vacation property and determine whether they were still holding a week open for our branch of the family tree, but it seemed worth a try.
We found no Baldwins in Baldwin Mills, plenty of Bucklands near Branston, and no one but the living in Ways Mills.
