We knew that we wanted to revisit this area, and today we were reminded why. We stumbled upon two stunning towns made from golden stone, rolled for hours along quiet winding lanes (OK, part of it was grinding uphill in tropical humidity) lunched at a roadside randonee stop and swam in the Dordogne to cool off at the end.
The campground is nearly empty, so we had a choice of riverside sites. Even had a gourmet salad for dinner (the last photo is the view from our table).
Could get spanked by another thunderstorm tonight, but we have established base camp here for a day trip tomorrow, so no need to pack up wet.
