Wicked hot day (30 +) and we STILL managed to ride nearly 80 km. Most of the day was through the amazing vineyards around Saint Emilion, though we did cave in and ride the highway for the last 20 km. The campground in Bergerac is not the best, especially when the previous night we were ensconced in the very lap of luxury (store, restaurant, bar, duck pond and a picnic table!). The canopy of plane trees kept us cool though, and help to deflect the worst of a major deluge that accompanied a big thunderstorm. Tent passes major test.
