We have gone from the sophisticated, urbanized city of Albi to Villeneuve-sur-Tarn, a village so small that it has no stores. Fortunately, Camping Municipal is still open (though entirely self-service) so for the princely sum of four Euros we are camped on the bank of the Tarn next to a very old and graceful bridge. The next town is only 1 km beyond and has a full complement of shops, so we have again staved off starvation.
Today's ride included the first decent tunnels that we have seen; one about 375 meters and the other nearly 1000. I am sure that there were huge spiders ...
Predictably there is no WiFi here, so brevity is key (the Economist having consumed most of our data plan almost instantly, downloading issues which I am unlikely to read anytime soon). This pic captures the essence of the current terroir - canyons, castles and current.
