Starting to get cold here

Part of everyday is lovely but when the sun goes down we need all our warm clothes to stay warm and in the morning our tent is soaked by the condensation.  I think its time to go south but first we head to Vimy to round out our tour of the world wars.

Today we spent the morning in the war museum at Ypres.  It was very well done giving an intense overview of the initial stages of the war in 1914 and then the long trench war fare of the next 4 years.  They had personal stories of the men from both sides recorded which brought it down to a very personal level.  It was very powerful.  In the afternoon we did a bike tour and visited many of the cemeteries and memorials around Ypres.  100,000's died here during the first world war and many are buried here.

Sorry no picture to support this blog.  It will have to wait for Rob!
