First etape of our homeward journey went more smoothly than anticipated. The train was direct from Carcassonne (vs two changes predicted by pessimistic SNCF agents) and the Ibis hotel next to the Gare St. Jean was not full (as predicated by same agents). Looking forward to hot, sunny weather predicted by Google, and sleeping in a bed.
